Lifestyle of Learning™ Conference
For Homeschooling Moms
September 23rd-26th, 2026
When Homeschooling Feels Heavy, There is Another Way
You brought your children home because you wanted something different.
But somewhere along the way, homeschooling may have started to feel like another version of the same pressure: keeping up, getting through the curriculum, measuring progress, and wondering whether your child is falling behind.
And underneath it all may be the fear that if you stop pushing, your child will miss something important.
But the Lord did not design you to manufacture your child’s growth.
At the Lifestyle of Learning™ Conference, Marilyn Howshall and the Lifestyle of Learning team will help you recognize the pressures that may still be shaping your homeschool and understand how God designed learning to grow from the inside out.

You May Be Asking...
Am I doing enough?
Why does this child feel so hard to teach?
Is learning boring?
Is this much frustration normal?
What if we are missing something important?
Many mothers begin homeschooling with vision, only to find themselves weighed down by curriculum demands, daily resistance, fear of gaps, and the pressure to make learning happen.
You may know deep down that education was meant to be more than this.
What if you’re right?
Most of us have never been shown how God designed children to learn.

Many mothers begin homeschooling with vision...
...only to find themselves weighed down by curriculum demands, daily resistance, fear of gaps, and the pressure to make learning happen.
Maybe this is not what you thought bringing your children home would look like.
Where did that pressure come from? Most of us learned to measure education by what could be assigned, completed, tested, and checked off.
The Lord does not ask mothers to manufacture life in their children. Our work is to recognize what He has placed within them and learn how to nurture it.
This conference begins there, with learning to understand the child in front of you and respond with greater understanding and wisdom.
From Making Bricks to Gathering Manna
In Scripture, God’s people had to learn how to leave Egypt behind. They were no longer slaves making bricks. They had to learn how to trust God’s provision, follow His ways, and walk into the land He had prepared for them.
There is a similar danger when we leave the school system behind. We may leave the school system, but still carry home its pressure, fear, comparison, rigid expectations, and constant measuring.
Marilyn will help you see what it means to stop making bricks and begin gathering the manna God has already provided through real life, relationships, creativity, and the design of each child.
You will learn to recognize your child’s learning compass, understand seasons of planting and harvest, notice the vital signs of a living education, and use practical tools that help you respond to what you see.
These tools will help you move toward the freedom Marilyn describes as your family’s Promised Land, where education is cultivated according to God’s design rather than driven by the pressures of the system you left behind.
This Conference Is for You If You Want to...
- learn the power of creativity for your child’s mind.
- bring home actionable vision.
- see your child’s learning bent the way God sees it.
- release the burden of curriculum with its schedules and expectations.
- enjoy the freedom of cooperating with the Holy Spirit for your child’s education.
- receive practical tools without added burdens.
- know the rhythm of God's planting and harvesting seasons in your child’s learning.
- unify learning and discipleship for a whole-life education.
- bring delight into your home education.
